Botond Sandor KIREI

Botond Sandor KIREI received Ph.D. in Electronics and Telecommunications from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (TUC-N), Romania, in 2009 and he is Associate Professor at the Basis of Electronics Department, at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technologies, TUC-N. He is responsible for digital design related disciplines within the bachelor’s and master’s degrees offered by TUC-N. Since 2018 he is an active collaborator of Control Data Systems Romania, specialized in wireless communications in space explorations. His main research interests and expertise include digital design with FPGAs, software defined radios, analog and digital signal filtering and processing, adaptive filtering, RF transceivers and electronic system modeling. Botond is an experienced Digital Systems designer with a demonstrated history of working in the digital integrated circuit industry. Skilled in VHDL, Verilog, Octave/Matlab, C++, and Functional Verification.
